The Confessionby John Grisham |
Teresa Joel: John Grisham is a master storyteller
and spins a good story. His latest book, The Confession, is in true Grisham style, a
page turner. Throughout the book, the plot takes many twists and turns with ordinary people
getting involved whether they want to or not. Grisham certainly lets the reader know his
opinion on the death penalty, and in no uncertain terms. However, as good a read in the beginning
and middle as this book is, the ending simply ends abruptly. I was disappointed there were no
last minute, 11th hour "ahas" or "gotchas" in this book. It just ends. I almost felt like the
copy of the book I had was missing a few of the last pages, but alas, it was not. How disappointing...
